Some trips aren't measured in miles. They are measured by the laughs over coffee, the roads you never want to leave, and the conversations that keep going long after the engines are switched off.

This is exactly what happened when three British friends arrived in the Algarve for four days of motorcycle touring with Soulful Bikes. Their goal was simple: escape the tourist traps and discover the side of the Algarve that only those on two wheels can truly know.

Three machines ready for adventure

The group chose a perfect combination for exploring Southern Portugal: two Triumph Bonneville Speed Twin 900s, ideal for those who enjoy a charismatic and engaging ride, and one Honda NC750X, a versatile tourer perfect for comfort and ease. All bikes were fully kitted out with side panniers and GPS mounts.

Discovering the authentic Algarve

Instead of heading straight for the beaches, they pointed their bikes inland. The Serra do Caldeirão and the village of Querença revealed an Algarve of whitewashed houses and a slower pace of life. They continued through the winding roads of Serra de Monchique, a must-ride location for any biker, offering spectacular views over the coast.

From the wild Atlantic to golden cliffs

The journey then took them West to Aljezur and the rugged Costa Vicentina, before heading down to Sagres. They also explored the iconic cliffs of Carvoeiro and Benagil, and enjoyed a fun night out in Albufeira. The return to Faro was made through the backroads of Alte and Salir, ensuring the last curves were as memorable as the first.

Upon returning the bikes, they shared their experience: 

"A really great rental experience, the guys at soulful bikes made our experience super enjoyable, we rented 3 machines, two triumph 900 twins and a honda 750 tourer....all fully kitted with panniers and sat navigation holders......well maintained and importantly there was no silly nonsense with the return of our deposits, all in all a 5 star experience, if you want to explore the algarve on two wheels with no stress, soulfull bikes are the only option......we will be back.”
